_Howdy y'all!
Put on your finest chaps, spurs and boas, and step back in time for a Saloon-style night of fun!
We've organized a little Texas Hold 'Em Tournament over at our place, the Main Street Theatre, and we wanted to send word out that y'all were invited!
This is a fundraiser, so no need to worry about your dusty skills - or get your competitive britches in a twist - just come on over for a friendly ol’ game of cards and some variety entertainment!
We've got themed tables - hosted by the finest and strangest bunch of dealers we could find. Would you like to play against a kindly goof, or a hardened killer? Or, perhaps a pistol packin’ lady of the range? But beware: like a cactus wearin' bloomers - sometimes the sweetest face hides the sharpest danger.
We’ve got quality entertainment – provided by non other than our very own Clown-Chanteuse, Miss Texas Holly. Her songs are so sweet, they'd kill a mule on Sunday!
We’ve got some of the fiercest gunslingers and range-riders this side of the Mission. Now, we'd like to assume that you'll be fine, but when the fists start flying, we suggest you be sure to grab some shelter ‘neath the nearest table or ruffled skirt.
And…we’ve got 28 spots at the tables for YOU.
The price at the door is just 10 US dollars to buy in to our Texas Hold 'Em Tournament - putting you in the running for a cash prize! For everyone else, a cash donation at the door is gladly accepted, and we'll have delicious libations and some, ehem, ‘wholesome’ entertainment on hand.
SO…
Bring along your fabulous self, dressed in your finest Western wear: cowboys, cowgirls, ladies of virtue and… less virtue…
Any and all costumery is appreciated and encouraged - but is not necessary!
We also encourage you to bring some jingle in your pockets or purse strings, in case the power of the lord, the moonshine or the love of charity should compel you to aid our cause.
Our cause here, at the humble Main Street Theatre, is to provide the good people of San Francisco with timeless and timely entertainment with an eye for old-fashioned quality. Over the next several months - with your help - we'll be transforming our 3600 ft warehouse Theatre space into a Wild West Main Street, serving as the backdrop for our stage - where we'll continue to bring you the best in Physical Theatre and Circus Arts. We will also be increasing our offerings of Performance and Circus classes for adults, and will be hosting more and more Specialty Entertainment Events, like this Poker Night Fundraiser right here…
We do hope you can make it out to Main Street Theatre on Thursday, January 19, 2012. We'll be playing and whooping it up from 7pm-10pm, and it won't be the same without you!
If you do have any questions, feel free to ask us in person when you arrive! Or by electronic pony express at [email protected]
Much obliged to y'all for being a part of our community - and we'll see y'all on Thursday!

915 Cayuga - July 24
"1st Anniversary Super Spectacular Extravaganza Exclamation Point"
915 Cayuga is an old-time, radio-style variety show and podcast that is taped once-monthly in front of a live studio audience at San Francisco's rustic Main Street Theatre. This month's performance: "1st Anniversary Super Spectacular Extravaganza Exclamation Point" will take place on Sunday July 24th at 7pm. Only at 915 Cayuga can you: laugh along with the verbal gymnastics of Liz Anderson, Damien Chacona, Khamara Pettus, ...and Brian Trybom; watch (and hear) Joan Howard deftly execute the craft of Foley Art; wiggle your bum to the lively music of Kirk Hamilton and his sassy band; and be tickled pink by the remarkable things Texas Holly can do while a live saxophone wails in the background! |
